Cookie Policy

First-party (set by us)

The site itself sets no cookies. Two pieces of browser storage handle preferences:

• localStorage.theme remembers your dark/light choice. Functional only. Not a cookie, never sent to our server.
• localStorage["mytoolbox.recents"] remembers the last six tools you used so they surface on the home grid. Local only.

Both stay on your device. We don't read them server-side, and they only go away when you clear browser storage.

Third-party advertising cookies

MyToolbox runs Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners set the cookies below for ad delivery, frequency capping, measurement, and (where consent allows) personalisation.

Google may set additional cookies for partner networks (AdSense for Content, AdSense for Search, and so on). Google documents the full mechanism at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Consent (EEA / UK / CH)

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland see Google's Funding Choices consent banner before personalised ads run. Two options:

• Consent. Personalised ads run, and the cookies above may be set.
• Decline / Manage options. You still see ads, but they're non-personalised. They use the page content only.

Your choice lives in the FCNEC cookie. To change it later, use the "Privacy options" link the CMP drops in the footer once you've answered once.

Disabling cookies & opt-out

Any modern browser lets you block or delete cookies per-site. The MyToolbox tools themselves never need cookies, so they'll keep working with all third-party cookies blocked.

To opt out of personalised advertising specifically, without blocking all cookies:
